A Las Vegas Brunch at the One and Only – Primrose French Restaurant
A Park MGM Restaurant
Primrose is located in the Park MGM resort right next to the hotel lobby and check-in. The restaurant is large with abundant seating inside and out. Primrose outdoor patio backs up to the resort pools with palm trees and foliage, creating an outdoor brunch oasis. Primrose is open daily from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Reservations are encouraged and can be made on the Park MGM Restaurant website or by calling 702.730.6600.
Type of Restaurant
Primrose is inspired by the South of France and fits the all-day brunch fare with bottomless mimosas and rose. This restaurant feels like you are stepping into a large French estate. The restaurant is divided into different rooms; dining room, drawing room, lounge, bar, outdoor terrace, and garden. The outdoor garden is a fun area to enjoy your all-day brunch. This is an upscale restaurant that serves brunch and lunch dishes that are inspired by French cuisine and technique. Everything about this restaurant I loved!
Primrose Las Vegas Brunch Menu
Primrose is a European restaurant serving brunch classics. The menu includes French toast, eggs benedict, Greek yogurt bowls, and more. Not every restaurant in Vegas needs to serve unhealthy food to flourish. Primrose takes brunch classics in a bit of a healthier approach. The portions will fill you up for your day and get your head in the game for some gambling. The menu is divided into many sections starting with Fresh Start and Plates to Share. Next, we jump to the entrees including salads, soups, organic eggs, and Primrose specialties. The Main Dishes cater to lunch fare with a 3-Tier Rotisserie Club and Orecchiette Pasta.
With so many amazing dishes it is hard to choose your brunch entrée. I always ask our server what the most popular and loved dishes are. Our server Sandy, recommended the Eggs Benedict and The Deep-Dish Pancakes so that is what we ordered. It was a great mix between sweet and savory. We also ordered two other dishes that were catching our eye.
What I Ordered for the Ultimate Las Vegas Brunch
Deep Dish Pancakes – $15 + $4
These pancakes are not any small flapjacks most of us are used to. They are deep-dish pancakes that are lightly fried on the griddle and then baked. One order of these pancakes is massive and filling. They are about 2 inches thick with a fluffy cake-like interior. I highly recommend getting them with the berry compote on top. It does cost an extra $4 but it is totally worth it. The sauce glazed over the warm cakes adds tartness and a burst of freshness with every berry bite. Warm maple syrup drizzled on top adds sweetness and soaks right into the warm cakes. The lightly fried cooking technique adds a sweet brow crusting on the outside.
Eggs Benedict with Blue Crab – $19 + $7
The Blue Crab Eggs Benedict at Primrose is one of the best benedicts I have ever tasted. I substituted the ham for some Blue Crab meat for an extra $7. I highly suggest upgrading if you enjoy crab meat. The English muffins are fresh and hold the perfect pockets to soak up the rich egg yolk and hollandaise sauce. Moist Blue Crab is piled high and is what takes this dish to the next level of decadency. The eggs were poached to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was everything it should be; thick, creamy, and flavorful. I also opted for the small side salad instead of the potatoes. The salad was a nice refresh from this rich and indulgent dish.
Steak & Eggs – $25
Steak and Eggs is a classic Las Vegas brunch dish. The Primrose Steak and Eggs are cooked to impress, with perfectly medium-rare grilled steak and delicately poached eggs. The crispy potatoes and chimichurri sauce are what bring this dish to the next level. The potatoes are crispy golden brown and pack a punch of flavor with butter, chives, and garlic. The chimichurri sauce gives this rich dish some acidity and freshness.
Ham & Cheese Omelet – $17
You cannot have brunch without an authentic French omelet. The ham and cheese omelet is light, fluffy, and rolled into one big envelope of goodness. Inside you will find melted Gruyere cheese and thick chopped ham. The ham adds a salty richness to the blanket of rich eggs and gooey cheese. Gruyere cheese originated in Switzerland and has complex notes of sweetness and salty. Again, those crispy and garlicky potatoes are served on the side.
