Your #1 Bryce Canyon National Park Travel Guide
About Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon is located in the Southern part of Utah. It is well known for its bright red and orange hoodoos. Hoodoos are tall sculpted rock formations made from the erosion of rocks over millions of years. The hoodoo formations in Bryce Canyon are called Clarons and are made up of limestone, siltstone, dolomite, and mudstone. Bryce Canyon National Park is one of my favorite national parks because of how unique and intricate the landscape is.
When To Visit Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon is open year-round and gorgeous any time of the year. Winter is a great time to visit Bryce Canyon because there are very few visitors. During the wintertime there is snowfall. The contrast of the white snow and red rock is absolutely gorgeous. Spring and Fall are my favorite times to visit because it is not too hot and there is not tons of visitors like in the summertime.

Fairyland Hike – 8 Miles (4-5 hours)
This 8-mile hike is one big loop that takes you down into the hoodoos and along the rim. This is a long strenuous hike. Make sure to wear good hiking boots and bring lots of water.
We stopped halfway and ate lunch. I enjoyed my Think! Lemon Delight High Protein Bar and a banana. Think! Bars are the perfect snack to take on your adventures.
