Top 10 Must Eat Foods in St. Augustine
St. Augustine, Florida is one of my favorite cities. It is known to be the oldest city in the United States dating back to 1565. Some may be intrigued by the history this city has to offer but the foodie inside of me fell in love with the restaurants and the variety of delicious bites.
1. Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille
If there is one restaurant that you must visit during your stay in St. Augustine that is Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille located in downtown St. Augustine. This a popular restaurant with eclectic décor and one of the best courtyards. They are open for lunch and dinner offering Cajun food. They do not take reservations making dinner a bit difficult on the weekends. I recommend going for lunch on a sunny day after exploring the Castillo de San Marcos. We enjoyed one of their specialty dishes the Crab Crusted Redfish Royale with blackened red fish stacked with a crab cake served in a bed of corn maque choux, smashed potatoes and a Louisiana beurre blanc – so worth the calories!
2. Stir It Up
On Anastasia Island you will find one your favorite lunch spots. Stir It Up offers simple, well-made, clean lunch options like sandwiches, salads, and wraps. They are known for the best chicken salad sandwich and homemade rye bread. It is a laid back restaurant, perfect for a day at the beach with outside seating.

5. The Floridian
Another one of my favorite restaurants is The Floridian. The eclectic beachy restaurant is perfect for lunch and dinner located in downtown St. Augustine. They offer a variety of food from Southern favorites to healthy grain bowls and more. You will easily fall in love with this restaurant! Reservations are highly recommended.
What to Order: Biscuit and Belly Appetizer, Any Grain Bowl
6. The Conch House Restaurant
The Conch House is located on the island and a fun lunch spot for dining on the water. They offer simple seafood dishes in a fun setting. Try to request a palapa for a more private setting over the water!
7. Whetstone Chocolate Tours
The original Whetstone Chocolate factory is located in downtown St. Augustine. They offer an hour long tour for a reasonable price. The tour walks you through the factory, teaches you about how their chocolate is made, and the best part – chocolate tasters! Their chocolate is smooth, rich, and creamy! I highly recommend this tour for all ages.
8. Ben’s Pretzels & Mimi’s Crepes
One of the most romantic and charming courtyards hides inside MiMi’s Famous Crepes and Ben’s Pretzels on George Street. This is the perfect pick me up spot for a salty or sweet treat while enjoying the green foliage and vibrant plants.
