Miami Centurion Lounge
Location
The Miami Centurion Lounge is located in the Miami International Airport (MIA). Located in concourse D near gate D12 on the 4th floor. One large elevator is located in the middle of the hall with a large centurion lounge sign. Open from 7:00 AM – 8:30 PM (hours may vary).
Aesthetics
The Miami Centurion Lounge was recently remolded and expanded. The new updates have made this lounge much more modern, open, and welcoming. The décor is subtle with neutral colors and minimal design. The raised ceilings and large windows made this lounge feel much more open. Only half the seating areas were open for use at the time we visited, making it very difficult to find a seat. We ended up having to share a larger table with another gentleman. Even with the expansion and remodel, this lounge still felt crowded.
Miami Centurion Lounge Amenities
The Miami Centurion Lounge has many amenities and is well known for its wonderful Exhale Spa. Here, they offer massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, and more. Along with the spa, Miami has one shower suite. With just one shower, the wait can get a bit long if the lounge is busy. For kids, there is a dedicated family room with games, small chairs, and activities.
If you have a long layover and want to get some work done, the Miami Centurion Lounge offers a small business center with large co-working tables. There are outlets for charging your electronics as well as high-speed internet throughout the lounge. There are two private phone rooms if extra privacy is needed for an important phone call.
Open Bar
There are two bars located in the Miami Lounge that offer great cocktails and wine by the glass. The cocktail menu is crafted by Jim Meehan. He has worked at many famous bars in New York City. In 2007 Jim opened his James Beard Award-wining bar, PDT (Please Don’t Tell). There is now a second branch of the speakeasy PDT Bar located in Hong Kong.
Anthony Giglio is the Wine Director of the Miami Centurion Lounge. He has hand-selected four wine varietals to be featured at the bar. I love a good Malbec and was excited to see it on the menu. The Malbec, Bodega Tamari ‘Reserva’, 2013 from Argentina was full of flavor, complex, and boasted with dark fruit flavors.
From 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM the Miami Centurion Lounge only serves classic breakfast cocktails, beer, and wine. At 10:30 AM bartenders can serve up any cocktail you would like. All alcoholic drinks are included in your admission to the lounge unless is it a premium beverage. There are also non-Alcoholic beverages available.

Miami Centurion Lounge Food
The Miami Centurion Lounge offers a continental breakfast from 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM. Starting at 7:30 AM to 11:15 AM, the lounge starts its main breakfast service with lunch and dinner following. There are two food stations inside the Miami Centurion Lounge. At each station, Amex attendants serve your food buffet-style, (this may change to a self-serve buffet). You can get in line for as many servings as you would like! At other airport lounges, small plates are dished out and are laid out for a grab-and-go style. I enjoyed eating a regular portion that was served on a plate. It felt more authentic and like a meal.
Chef Michelle Bernstein
The Latin-infused menu is created by Michelle Bernstein. Michelle Bernstein is a James Beard Award winner and cookbook author. She and her husband are quite the team with their own catering company, Michelle Bernstein Catering, and restaurant, Café La Trova owns.
Dinner Review
The Centurion in Miami offers some of the best food I have ever tasted at an airport lounge. The food was hot, full of flavor, cooked well, and healthy. The braised chicken thighs were juicy, flavorful, tender, and the best bite of the meal. The Latin tomato and olive side dish added the perfect amount of acidity to the chicken thighs. Another great bite was the tender roasted cauliflower florets with salty capers and sweet raisins.
Let’s not forget about dessert! The crunchy chocolate chip cookies are to die for! Usually, I am a soft chewy cookie kind of gal, but these were light and melted in your mouth. They had great cookie flavor with small bits of semi-sweet chocolate chunks.
