The Denver Centurion Lounge by American Express – Review

There are many airport lounges located across the world. American Express is one of the top Credit Cards for travelers. Those that have the Amex Personal Platinum Card or Amex Business Platinum Card will have access to the most airport lounges. This is a great purchase if you travel a lot. Denver Centurion Lounge
Denver Centurion Lounge Airport Location
The Denver Centurion Lounge is located in the Denver International Airport (DIA). Located in terminal C just past gate C46. It is easy to find with the large American Express sign. Open from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (hours may vary).
Denver Centurion Lounge Aesthetics
The Denver Centurion Lounge is brand new with its Grand Opening date in February of 2021. Designed and decorated with Colorado outdoors in mind, this lounge is modern, clean, and pleasing to the eye. Lounge chairs are comfortable with many to chose from depending on how would like to spend your time during your visit.
Denver Centurion Lounge Amenities
This is a large lounge at 14,500 square feet, two open bars, and one food service area. If you have a long layover and want to get some work done, the Denver Centurion Lounge offers small closed-off cubicles creating a private workspace. There is high-speed internet throughout the lounge. The USB and plug-in outlets located on the tables did not work for us during our first visit in May 2021. An Amex attendant noticed we were having trouble and was happy to get a small charging cubicle for us to use during our visit.
A game room is available for entertainment with a pool and shuffleboard table. There is a wide range of seating options. Looking to just grab a bite to eat, chose the dining tables next to the foodservice area. After a long flight and need to clean up, the Denver Centurion Lounge offers sleek and modern showers.
Denver Centurion Lounge Open Bar
The bar decor and drink creations are inspired by a Colorado Craft Beer Bar. The drink menu is created by two mixologists, Jim Meehan and Anthony Giglio. From 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM the Denver Centurion Lounge only serves classic breakfast cocktails, beer, and wine. At 10:30 AM bartenders can serve up any cocktail you would like. All alcoholic drinks are included in your admission to the lounge unless is it a premium beverage. There are also non-Alcoholic beverages available.

Denver Centurion Lounge Menu
The Denver Centurion Lounge offers a continental breakfast from 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM. Starting at 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, the lounge starts its main breakfast service with dishes created by Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson. Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson is the creator of Frasca Food and Wine. He owns multiple restaurants including Tavernetta, Pizzeria Locale, and Sunday Vinyl.
The breakfast menu offers a variety of dishes but the main thing I was a bit bummed about is that they do not offer any breakfast meats. The Breakfast salad has a small crumble of bacon bits on top but that is it. The menu is geared towards a healthier landscape with overnight oats, chia seeds, sweet potatoes, and almond flour substitutes. This is a Sample Menu, meaning plates are small tasters and are served to you buffet-style by an American Express Attendant. You can have as many plates as you would like!
From 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, The Denver Centurion Lounge serves a lunch and dinner menu. The menu has many Mediterranean healthy dishes. Stay tuned for the Lunch/Dinner Denver Centurion Lounge.
Denver Centurion Lounge Sample Plates
Breakfast Salad
Bacon, Avocado, Tomato, Egg, Red Onion, Lettuce, Lemon Juice
Almond Flour Waffle
Buttermilk, Almond Flour, Butter, Eggs, Vanilla served with Date Butter, and Pure Maple Syrup
This was an amazing bite! The warm waffle was crunchy with a soft interior. A dollop of date and nut butter was plopped on top adding a sweet and nutty flavor to the waffle.
Tortillas Stanley
Sweet Potatoes, Red Onion, Broccolini, Sharp Cheddar
The main breakfast dish was good but lacked flavor and was quite greasy. Grab a small pack of hot sauce and drizzle on top for added flavor.
Yogurt Parfait
Greek Yogurt, Granola, Dried Apricots, Fresh Berries
House-Made Granola Bar
Dried Apricots, Pistachios, Oats, Nuts, Chocolate
Overnight Oats
Steel Oats with Almond and Coconut Mile, Chia See, Greek Yogurt, Lemon Agave, Milk, Dried Raisins & Cranberries
This was my favorite dish. The Overnight Oats had a spot-on consistency. For additional toppings, grab a banana or apple and slice it up into your overnight oat parfait!
