Find the Best Happy Hour on the Las Vegas Strip at Ocean’s One Bar & Grill
Location
Ocean’s One has a handful of locations but the one I visited was on the Las Vegas Strip inside Planet Hollywood. You will find Ocean’s One Bar and Grill inside the Miracle Mile Shops on the corner next to Journey’s and Pampa’s South American Restaurant. It is a little tricky to find but just look for the large number of people waiting outside! Ocean’s One is open 7:30 AM to 11:30 PM, seven days a week, with one of the Best Happy Hour on the Las Vegas Strip.
Type of Restaurant
Ocean’s One Bar and Grill is a coastal-themed restaurant. It feels like a sports bar with many TVs and a large center bar. The center bar area is fully open and constantly busy with drink orders flying in. This is a big restaurant with many seating options to accommodate the mass amount of people wanting to visit. With such low food and drink prices, this restaurant has great aesthetics that welcomes people in and provides a fun atmosphere. The service is quick, friendly, and efficient.
The Menu
From 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM every day, Ocean’s One serves a great lunch menu. EVERYTHING IS $5.99, making this the best happy hour on the Las Vegas Strip! We are talking large salads, full sandwiches, pasta dishes, and more chef specialties. Do not let the price sway your idea on the quality of food. The dishes are simple and tasty. They will fill your food cravings while gallivanting up and down the Las Vegas Strip.
What I Ordered
3 for $12 Cocktails – All Day Drink Special
There is a 3 for $10 drink special, you can choose from a list of house wines, cocktails, and more! The menu states no sharing, and they are serious about this. One person cannot order this for a group of three and each person have one drink. Each person must have all three drinks, but the beauty is that you can take your drinks to-go.
Las Vegas has an Open Container Law, you can roam freely with an alcoholic beverage in hand on the strip. Ocean’s one is happy to give your additional drinks in plastic to-go cups. I ordered the Moscow Mule and two merlot wines. I enjoyed one wine with my flank steak entrée and took the other two to-go.
Caribbean Mahi Sandwich
The Caribbean Mahi Sandwich is a must-order. The grilled Mahi fish is good-sized and well seasoned with a large glob of guacamole plopped on top. The sandwich is served with a toasted bun, mango habanero aioli, lettuce, and tomato. For a side, you have the choice of seasoned fries, coleslaw, or black beans and rice. The fries were amazing with a nice outer crunchy coating and soft interior. The black beans with rice would also be a great side with the grilled fish sandwich.
Marinated Skirt Steak With Cabernet Sauce
I was shocked to find a steak dish on this affordable menu. The marinated skirt steak was quite large with a nice grill on the outside. While this isn’t one of the best cuts of meat it was still nice to fill up on some good protein. The steak came with house mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The cabernet sauce tied this dish together with its warm and welcoming flavor.
