À La Maison Budapest Restaurant Review
Location
À La Maison has two locations in Budapest, one on the Pest side and one on the Buda side. We had the pleasure of visiting the gorgeous Pest side location. À La Maison is open daily starting at 8:00 AM for breakfast and lunch. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made on the À La Maison website.
Type of Restaurant
À La Maison is a classy and elegant brunch and lunch spot in Budapest, Hungary. Their gorgeous locations are well designed with a monochrome color scheme and pops of metallic gold. There is a large bar at the front of the restaurant with clean white lines and marble stone. À La Maison Budapest is the perfect place to spend your Sunday morning with friends while enjoying your favorite brunch bites and mimosas. With a stunning restaurant comes well-trained servers and a polite hostess. We were greeted with open arms when arriving on a Sunday morning.
The Menu
The menu at À La Maison Budapest is large and offers every brunch favorite you could think of. Their large plates are the way to go with eggs, fruits, choice of meat, juice, coffee, and something sweet. Personally, I like to have a little sweet and savory for breakfast. If you do not want all the bells and whistles, you can order from the a la carte menu with a long list of egg benedicts, waffles, pancakes, and more. This is a more expensive restaurant in Budapest but the experience is well worth it.
What we Ordered
New York Breakfast – 4990HUF ~ $16.11USD
What a gorgeous and whimsical plate of breakfast favorites! The New York breakfast plate offers two eggs over easy, bacon, french toast, seasonal fruit, sausage, and potato. The bacon was thick cut and delicious. I also thoroughly enjoyed the sausage links with immense flavor and great texture. I had to try the Nutella whip everyone raves about so I got a side to top my french toast with and boy was it delicious!
Bacon Benedict w/ Avocado Hollandaise – 4110HUF ~ $13.25USD
+ Smoked Salmon – 800HUF ~ $2.60USD
The Bacon Benedict with avocado hollandaise is a show-stopping dish. The bright green avocado hollandaise sauce pops and contrasts gorgeously against the blue ceramic dish. Two perfectly poached eggs oozed with fresh egg yolk with one small slice. A large round slice of avocado layers the benedict and is then stacked with thick bacon. We ordered the additional smoked salmon on the side and what a great pairing with the salty bacon and avocado!
