Boutique Hotel
The Gem Society Boutique Hotel is everything chic, timeless, and refined. This upscale boutique hotel offers a stylish stay for travelers that have a love for something unique and trendy. The Gem Society does an outstanding job of mixing traditional Greek design with modern and trendy decor. The large staircase is stunning with white marble stone and the original Art Deco banister. The many amenities offered, allow you to sleep, eat, relax, and repeat. Each and every staff member went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable and memorable.
The Rooms + En Suite
Our room was the perfect home away from home. The cozy decor and attention to detail gave the room a soft welcoming feel. Our room was on the smaller side but it was perfect for a two-night stay in Athens. A small desk and chair created a great space for blogging and right next to it was the espresso machine, what more could I ask for?! I absolutely adored the bedding, it was straight out of a Pottery Barn magazine and oozed with comfort. The en suite bathroom was stunning with Athenian white tiled marble walls. It was so nice to come home to a rainfall shower with the best smelling soaps after a long day walking in the Greece heat all day.
The Gem Society Hotel Amenities
Their stylish cozy rooms, trendy lounge area, delicious Muse Bistro, and relaxing Almaz Spa made us feel right at home. The Gem Society offers amazing service from the front desk to the restaurant to the spa and everyone in between. Muse Bistro is an on-site restaurant that offers delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Tip: If you have an early flight, Muse Bistro will have your breakfast packaged in to-go boxes for you to take with you. It is little things like this that make The Gem Society Hotel stand out amongst the many accommodations in Athens.
Almaz Spa
Ben and I visited the Almaz Spa during our stay at the Gem Society Hotel and it was an absolute treat. After a month of travel, my face was in need of a refreshing facial. I walk out feeling rejuvenated and ready for another month of travel through Europe. The Almaz Spa is a small retreat with services offering a variety of facials and massages. The modern space is inviting with neutral colors, soft textures, and calming aromas.
Muse Bistro
We dined at the Muse Bistro three times during our stay, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. All three visits were exceptional with good high-quality food and great service. It was a treat to just walk downstairs for a fun and delicious breakfast each morning. As a guest of the hotel, we could choose from a variety of freshly made classic egg dishes, pancakes, and crepes. The strawberry Nutella crepe was sinfully delicious with layers of molten Nutella, soft spongey crepe, and fresh strawberries.
