Ubud is one adventure filled town in the heart of Bali, Indonesia. If you are looking for more of an outdoor, authentic, and slower pace town then Ubud is your place. The amount of food, culture, and adventure makes this place one of my favorites! Ubud offers a great array of restaurants, from authentic bites to trendy upscale places. Some of the best Ubud restaurants include, Simply Social, Sun Sun Warung, and Toro Sushi. The options are endless here!

1. Authentic Balinese Food – Sun Sun Warung
If you are looking an authentic Balinese food experience take a short walk to Sun Sun Warung in downtown Ubud. The best way to try a little bit of everything Balinese cuisine has to offer I recommend ordering the sample platter. Each small bite is flavorful and compliments one another.
2. Best Dinner in Ubud – Torro Sushi
This is one restaurant you cannot miss if you love sushi. Torro Sushi serves up some of the best sushi I have ever tasted. I highly recommend sitting upstairs to soak in the orange rooftop views of Ubud. They have a great happy hour with handmade cocktails that pair perfectly with the sushi.
3. Ubud Restaurant with a View – Tis Café
Tis Café is another one of my favorite Ubud restaurants because of its gorgeous views of the Tegalalang Rice Terraces. Tis Café offers the perfect place to relax after walking through the maze of rice terraces. Grab a tasty cappuccino and your favorite lunch dish and enjoy the views.
4. Chocolate Tasting in Bali – Ubud Raw
Taste some of Ubud’s local chocolate at Ubud Raw. They have shops located throughout the island, with pop up stalls at local farmers markets. We ordered the taster set which came with their three flavor chocolates. Each was delectably rich, a little goes a long ways but they are tasty!
5. Best Café to Work at in Ubud – Clear Café
If you are looking for a great place to work head to Clear Cafe. This one of a kind restaurant offers a quiet spa like environment with delicious food and unique architecture. Each day the café lays our flowers in a form of a inspiring quite of the day. Clear Café also has a full spa with a long list of amazing treatments.
6. Trendy Restaurants in Ubud – Simply Social
Simply Social is one of the busiest restaurants in Ubud, and with that comes some great food. Their trendy décor and diverse menu welcomes everyone in. If you are looking for a healthy bite or a guilty pleasure they have it all. Check their Instagram for their upcoming live music nights and events!
7. Coffee Tasting in Ubud – Anomali Coffee
Bali is known for their coffee so why not indulge in a coffee tasting at breakfast. Anomali Coffee is well known for their coffee with a few different locations. This unique coffee show offers a more modern take on coffee with cold brew and other specialty coffees. Don’t forget to order some authentic Balinese food too!
8. Cheap Food in Ubud – Warung Biah Biah
One of the staple Balinese dishes is mie goreng, a noodle dish usually served with vegetables and your choice of meat. Warung Biah Biah in downtown Ubud has some of my favorite Mie goreng because of the pack of flavor it has. Everything is cooked to order and comes out piping hot. This is also one of the few places we found the local rice wine Brem, which tastes like a carbonated chardonnay.
9. Dessert in Ubud – Acai Shop
One of the best desserts in all of Bali is at the Acai Shop located in downtown Ubud. This adorable shop serves homemade acai with any toppings of your choosing. Their homemade peanut butter is like the hot fudge on a sundae but instead of a sugary sweet dessert acai allows you to get that crave with their healthy and refreshing bowls.
10. Fine Dining Ubud – Herb Library
Ubud doesn’t have a ton of upscale fine dining restaurants but one of my of the best restaurants in Ubud for a special night out is the Herb Library. This well known restaurant serves up some dazzling dishes that are healthy and notorious. They offer various cooking classes, romantic dinner settings, high tea, and more!
