Homemade Pasta in Canggu at Pasta Bitte

Pasta Bitte

Pasta Bitte Restaurant Review Canggu, Bali

Location

Pasta Bitte is located in the heart of Canggu, Bali. Bali has become of the top destinations to visit amongst the millennial generations because of the ease of a digital nomad lifestyle it has to offer. Canggu is one of the more developed towns in Bali with a variety of restaurants, shops, gyms, hotels, and much more. Pasta Bitte has marked their spot right on the busy road of Batu Bolong. This is Pasta Bitte’s second location with their first homemade pasta shop in Jakarta.

Concept & Menu

Pasta Bitte is a simple Italian restaurant serving delicious homemade pasta, signature sauces, and tasty toppings. Owned by Rhisa and Sebastian, a couple from Germany and Indonesia, that wanted to add a bit of variety to the Indonesia food scene. They thought why not make something simple but do it well. After a few hosted dinner parties and dozens of thumbs up from family and friends, the two opened their first shop in Jakarta and now their second restaurant in Canggu.

Their menu offers ten variations of their secret homemade pasta. You can mix and match sauces, toppings, and pastas making it a fun customizable experience. Each dish is then made to order to ensure a fresh plate each and every time. Not sure what to order, no worries! Their amazing staff can explain the menu, give recommendations, or you can take an up close look in the kitchen to see which pasta fancies your appetite. The open kitchen sets the stage for the art of pasta making. While you wait order a drink, an appetizer, and enjoy the show!

“Pasta, Bitte!” is German for “Pasta, Please!”

The Meal & Experience

Pasta Bitte in Canggu, Bali does an amazing job on giving you a full dining experience. I seriously felt like I was in Italy… with authentic Italian coffee, homemade desserts, fresh bruschetta, and the owners on site striking conversations with each table. Each Pasta dish is made to order, so there is plenty of time to enjoy the open kitchen, tasty cocktails, and small snacks. Its these small details that really makes this restaurant feel authentic and sets themselves apart from the rest.

Pesto Genovese

This is one sexy dish with fresh pesto sauce cuddling each and every homemade noodle perfectly. The linguine pasta was perfectly al dente and shaped. I topped my pesto linguine with sautéed mushrooms and grilled chicken. The smoky grilled chicken paired perfectly with the mild pesto sauce.

Classic Italian Lasagna

You don’t find the classic Italian lasagna too often in Bali, and you surely won’t find it as good at Pasta Bitte’s. Their lasagna is everything rich and indulgent. Layers of homemade pasta sheets, cheese, and tomato meat sauce makes for a perfect bite. It truly brought me back to the streets of Italy.
