Canggu Travel Guide

The Ultimate Canggu Travel Guide

Canggu is one of the largest digital nomad cities in the world, yet still remains a small town. There are still the hints of local touches with rice fields and warungs. This one of a kind place has developed into one of my favorite cities with unique restaurants, active beaches, and fun nightlife. In this Canggu Travel Guide you will read the top 6 things to do in one of my favorite Southeast Asian towns!

Canggu Travel Guide #1 – Canggu Beach

Canggu Beach is one of the most popular destinations in all of Bali. People flock here at sunset to watch the sun paint the sky with orange, red, and yellow. This is a very active beach with surfing, volleyball, beach clubs, vendors and more! Batu Bolong Beach is right next to Canggu Beach, both are great ang highly recommend visiting.

Canggu Travel Guide #2 – Morning Yoga

Bali is known for their healthy yoga and pilates practices. While Ubud may be one of the more well known areas for your jungle yoga oasis, Canggu also has some highly awarded yoga studios. I recommend booking your yoga class at The Practice or Radiantly Alive. Each class will run you $8 – $15 USD depending on the type of yoga class and duration.

Canggu Travel Guide #3 – Canggu Markets

Get your shopping in by going to the local Canggu markets. The most popular amongst tourists is Love Anchor and La Brisa Sunday Market. Love Anchor is open 7 days a weeks with tons of Balinese treasures like wooden bowls, art, and flowy clothing. La Brisa is one of my favorite markets because each stall offers a little something different, with homemade jewelry, pottery, and more!

Canggu Travel Guide #4 – Where to eat in Canggu?

Canggu offers some of the best restaurants in all of Bali. The mix of cuisine will blow you away! Whether you are crazing fresh homemade Italian pasta or local warung food, Canggu really does have it all. A few of my favorite restaurants include Low Cal, Warung Bu Mi, Secret Spot, HoiAn by MeVui Vietnamese, and Brunch at Barboa Bali.

Canggu Travel Guide #5 – Treat Yourself to a Spa Day

Everywhere you walk in Canggu you will find salons offering everything from your simple oiled massage to a full on spa day. Whether you are on a backpacking budget or not you can still treat yourself to a spa service. A few of my favorite places include Goldust Beauty, Tonic Day Spa, and Nova Spa (Budget Friendly).

Canggu Travel Guide #6 – Canggu Nightlife

The Bali nightlife is some of the best. Many people visiting or staying for an extended period of time in Bali falls under the young, surfer, and independent demographic. There is never a dull moment when going out in Canggu because the amount of people you will meet with similar interests is high. A few of my favorite venues include Fat Mermaid, Deus Ex Machina, Secret Spot, and Black Sand Brewery. Most places have nightly events and specials!
