Dimora Palanca Florence – An Unforgettable 5-Star Hotel Experience

Dimora Palanca Florence

Dimora Palanca Florence Hotel Review

Location

Dimora Palanca is situated along Florence’s bustling street of Via Della Scala. Its prime location is a short walk to Florence’s breathtaking attraction, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind during your visit to the historic and charming city of Florence.

The Hotel + Concept

Dimora Palanca is a five-star hotel with a depth of history, architecture, and beauty. This is a boutique hotel that offers the utmost welcoming service that goes the extra mile. In each and every room your eyes will dance from one intricate detail to another. There are a variety of spaces to relax and let your eyes wander. One of my favorite rooms was the library with an ornate ceiling of detailed gold, green and red colors by Paolo Dovichi. Modern furniture and natural light accent the traditional elements and create a relaxing luxurious oasis.

History

Dimora Palanca was once a villa for two architects in the 18th century. Its historic presence hosted well-known artists and their works. It eventually turned into a private art gallery that was the place to gather for art lovers all around. Dimora Palanca has been restored by two skilled men: artist, Paolo Dovichi and architect, Stefano Viviani. Tuscan artist, Paolo Dovichi created 59 one-of-a-kind pieces for the restored Dimora Palanca. Stefano Viviani has done a tremendous job of restoring the original architecture and design elements. This well-established villa has been transformed into an elegant and luxurious hotel that respects its historical beauty.

One of a Kind Rooms

The Dimora Palanca offers eighteen suites and guestrooms, each with its own unique style and layout. Tall ceilings carry your eyes up the Fresco wall detail, while large windows allow for natural light to flood in. Designer contemporary furniture adds calmness and elegance to the restored rooms. The patterned wood parquet floors contrast with the white walls and bring an extra element of warmth and texture.

The Amenities

This five-star hotel offers everything you could wish for. Their front desk and concierge welcomes you with open arms and is there to assist you every step of the way throughout your stay in Florence. A few room amenities made this an unforgettable experience with a delicious à la carte breakfast, welcome gift upon arrival, and fluffy bathrobes that comfort you after a luxurious spa bath.

Bistro

After a good night’s rest in the SIMMONS mattress, an à la carte breakfast awaits in the grand bistro. This breathtaking room captures your eye as you enter the boutique hotel. A large artistic chandelier hangs in the middle of the room while natural light floods the white fresco detailed walls. The bistro offers everything from savory to something sweet. I must say the avocado toast is delicious with its simplicity and depth of flavor. I added a perfectly poached egg to add a hint more of luxuriousness to the dish.

Mimesi Restaurant

Mimesi is a fine dining restaurant led by well-versed head chef Giovanni Cerroni. This elegant reimagined restaurant sparks a feeling of home and comfort with built-in shelves, original tiled stove hood, dim lighting, and neutral tones. The sophisticated clean-lined decor sets the stage for the innovative food and wine to shine.

Secret Garden

Just off the bistro is a garden with green grass, lounge chairs, and trees. This secret oasis is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine, sip on some coffee, and relax.
