A Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide – Where to Eat, What to Do, and Where to Visit

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #1 – Bellagio Botanical Gardens

Inside the iconic Bellagio Hotel, you will find a gorgeous atrium full of flowers and displays. This is a free activity that takes about 10 mites to walk through and enjoy the array of flowers. The design changes throughout the year on a quarterly basis. This is a great photo opp to snap some gorgeous pictures.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #2 – Oceans One Happy Hour/Lunch Special

Looking for some cheap food and drinks? Head over to Planet Hollywood. There is a full mall and inside the mall is Ocean’s 1, a coastal restaurant with the best food and drink specials on the strip. EVERYTHING, and yes, I do mean everything on the food menu is $4.99. We are talking full hamburgers, pasta dishes, steaks, salmon, and many more entrées. Drinks are 3 for $10 or you can order a la carte from a selection of beers and frozen cocktails. The restaurant is very strict on not sharing so order accordingly.

Tip: If you order the 3 for $10 cocktails and do not finish all three you can get the remainder drinks to-go.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #3 – Relax at the Resort Pools

Enjoy the sun and some relaxation at your hotel’s pool. The pools are free to enter if you are staying at the resort so grab your bathing suit, sunscreen, and head out to the pool deck. You will not be able to bring any food or alcohol inside the pool area.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #4 – Free Drinks when Gambling

Every time you gamble there is the opportunity to snag some free drinks. Waitresses come around the casino serving up any cocktail/drink you would like. You must give them a small tip or they will not come back around for a second or third round. Go for the slot machines that do not require a large bet. You could play the penny slots and drink for free all night long.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #5 – Vegas Slots App & M Life

Make some Vegas money before heading to the strip. On the MyVegas Slots app, you can play slots on your device and turn those slot winnings into actual money! Accrue loyalty points and redeem them for a reward. Rewards include meal deals, free cocktails, tickets to shows, hotel stays, and Freeplay. It’s simple and fun to use.

Once you have redeemed your award, head to the MLife desk to receive your award and get your personal MLife card. It is really that simple, I have gotten free drinks and $50 worth of Freeplay. Make sure to read all Term and Conditions! Put your MLife Card into your slots machine while gambling, you can collect reward points and those can be redeemed at the end of your stay!

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #6 – Hotel/Food/Drink Bundles

Many resorts on the hotel resort will offer accommodations, food, and drink bundles to entice you to stay with them. This is a great opportunity to save on food and eat at some very nice restaurants for little money. Book through their websites to ensure you receive the package deal. If you have a travel credit card that has a booking portal even better, their agents will book you the best deal. Tips are not included in the dining coverage but if you were to eat at a nice restaurant for dinner and your bill is $100, all you would have to pay is $20 for the tip, not a bad deal at all!

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #7 – In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out Burger is a great place to stop and grab a late-night bite. It is cheap and will gratify your late-night cravings. A single hamburger is just $3.00 and you get to visit the iconic Las Vegas In-N-Out. There are two of these popular burger joints located on the strip, one by The LINQ Hotel and one on the other end of the strip near Park MGM.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #8 – Bring your Own Drinks

Stop by the liquor store before heading to the Strip. The Strip has an open container policy so you can carry your own drinks around that cost a fraction of the price. CVS Drugstore is located throughout the Strip so if you run out it is easy to grab a to-go drink.

Las Vegas Budget Travel Guide #9 – The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan

One massive chandelier drapes three stories in the center of the Cosmopolitan Casino. This is a show stopper with three million crystal beads and up lighting to make them shine bright. It took almost a year to create the iconic Cosmopolitan Chandelier. The Chandelier stretched 65 feet tall and hosts three levels of bars and lounges. The Chandelier is Cosmopolitan’s main attraction and a great picture backdrop.
