Proper Good Product Review

Proper Good

Proper Good Healthy Products

About the Company

Proper Goods was created by Chris and Jen. Chris and Jen live an active and busy lifestyle and found themselves buying healthy takeout food to save on time and still eat clean food. This quickly became expensive, so Chris and Jen said enough is enough and they set out to make their own ready-to-eat meals that are nutrient-dense and healthy. Their products are reasonably priced and well made for the perfect go-to easy meal for Chris, Jen, and their customers.

“Proper Good is based on a few simple premises:

1. We LOVE eating well.

2. We LOVE it when eating well is easy.

3. We LOVE having fun, working with wonderful people and dressing up in as many ridiculous outfits as possible.”

Chris and Jen, Founders of Proper Goods

Products

Proper Good specializes in soups, chilis, grains, and bone broths. These are all zero-prep meals that are nutrient-packed and filling. I love their products because they are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration. Proper Goods uses clean high-quality ingredients with no chemicals, no additives, and nothing artificial.

Proper Goods offers products that are dietary friendly no matter what you are looking for. Their keto products are nutrient-packed and made with bone broth with no added sugar. The plant-based meals are vegan friendly and are healthy with antioxidant-rich spices like turmeric and ginger. There are also gluten-free and dairy-free products offering rich and delicious soups and chilis.

Packaging

The Proper Good’s packaging is in a clear bag with fun colorful labels. The packaging allows for their soups, chilis, grains, and bone broths. The shelf-stable packaging allows for these products to be the perfect go-to no matter where you are or what adventure you are on. I love them because they are extremely handy for camping and overnight hikes.

My Review

Sweet Red Pepper & Meatball Soup – $7.99

I had the sweet red pepper and meatball soup for dinner with a tuna melt sandwich. It was a great pairing and the acidic and sweet red pepper flavor was delicious. I did find the meatballs a bit dry and chewy.

Meatball Minestrone Soup – $6.99

The meatball minestrone Proper Goods soup was another warm and filling lunch for work. The farro and beans added great depth and texture. Again the meatballs were just a bit dry and I added salt.

Chicken & Vegetable Soup – $7.99

The chicken and vegetable Proper Goods soup is simply delicious. I brought my Proper Good soup to work for lunch. It was everything warm and filling. There was a good amount of chicken, which I was very happy about because I am all about getting a good source of protein in. For one entire packet, it is only 320 calories and 20 grams of protein. This was a nice hearty soup that filled me up and kept me nourished throughout my workday.

Quinoa & Brown Rice Blend – $3.49

We made the quinoa and brown rice Proper Goods blend into a fun Mexican-inspired dinner bowl. We added some corn, peppers, onions, and black beans to the quinoa and rice bean. The mix-ins added great flavor and the Proper Goods blend was a great base. We topped it off with grilled chicken, lettuce, and salsa.
