Type of Restaurant
Finn Restaurant is a fun and innovative eatery serving a mix of new dishes. Their outdoor terrace and well-trained team invite you in with a smile. It is a gorgeous restaurant with a large terrace, two-story bar, and fun decor. There are artsy murals painted throughout the restaurant adding color and a conversation piece. The two-story bar is absolutely gorgeous. Take a look from the top floor dining room to have a birds-eye view of the hanging lights!

What we Ordered
Drinks
.5 Liter Zwettler Original – €4,30
Zwettler Beer is a very popular beer throughout Austria. We ordered the half-liter lager and it was well balanced, refreshing, and crisp.
Weingut Hagn Chardonnay – €3,90
I wanted to try a local wine so our amazing server Matea recommended the chardonnay. This fruity dry lightly aged chardonnay was clean, crisp, and danced on my palate.
Papaya Soup – €5,20
The papaya soup was recommended to us by our server and ended up being one of the best bites of the night. The soup was light, not overly sweet, and had a velvety texture. Hints of pesto added acidity and freshness. Not only was this a delicious soup, but it was also absolutely stunning in a ceramic bowl with a bright pop of yellow color.
Hawaii Roll – €10,90
After reading many raving reviews about Finn’s sushi, we had to give it a taste. The sushi was good but a little too rice dense. We chose the Hawaii Roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, mango, masago (fish eggs), and mango sauce. The mango was a nice touch adding a hint of sweetness and change in texture. It was a gorgeous dish with an average flavor.
From the Wok – Octopus – €15,90
For anyone looking to visit Finn Restaurant, I highly recommend trying their wok dishes! You can choose from a variety of proteins to add to the well-cooked Asian vegetables. We chose the Octopus which was tender, well-cooked, and added great flavor. The blanket of teriyaki sauce was not overpowering nor overly sweet. Finn Restaurant gets their seafood from Croatia and has found their own technique to keep the Octopus tender for each dish.
Duck Breast Main Course – €16,50
My favorite entree of the night was the Duck Breast with sweet potato puree, edamame, and teriyaki sauce. A large piece of duck was cooked perfectly with a juicy interior and crispy skin. The sweet potato puree was a great base for the well-seasoned duck. I would have enjoyed a few extra roasted tomatoes because they provided acidity and freshness to this decadent dish.
Heidelbeerschmarrn – €10,50
Heidelbeerschmarrn is a traditional Austrian dessert. Warm freshly baked sponge cake is pulled apart and then lightly soaked with rum and tossed with blueberries. It reminded me of a thick pancake with a light texture and not overly sweet. I did not care for the rum-soaked bits, as I am not a rum fan. The plums were a nice component because they added freshness and a change in texture.
