Las Campanas Valladolid – The Best Margaritas in Town

Las Campanas Valladolid

Las Campanas Valladolid, Mexico Restaurant

Location

Las Campanas Valladolid is located in a prime location right on the corner of El Centro. This is a great restaurant to enjoy the bright colorful city and tourists bustling by. I usually shy away from restaurants right next to the tourist attractions because of the overpriced average food, but not at Las Campanas! Las Campanas is open all day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 8:00 AM – 1:00 AM.

Type of Restaurant

Las Campanas Valladolid is an authentic Yucatan restaurant with traditional foods and décor. This is a narrow restaurant with tall ceilings and large wooden doors that opens up to the outdoors. I loved the indoor/outdoor feel because it brought the El Centro entertainment inside. My favorite part is the bright Mexican tiles and hand-painted wall appliques. One of the main features of the restaurant is a gorgeous display of hand-blown colorful plates. The furniture is simple and allows for the authentic design details to sing. The service is tremendous, each time we visited the men were helpful, patient, and attentive.

The Menu

The menu at Las Campanas Valladolid offers a variety of authentic Yucatan foods. They serve every meal of the day for a great price anytime you go. Mornings are a popular time to visit because of the breakfast specials. There are cheap breakfast bundles that are customizable and delicious. This restaurant transforms at night and becomes alive with a live band, refreshing cocktails, and Yucatan dinner specials. One of their specialties is the melted cheese entrée. A hot cast-iron skillet is served with a large layer of gooey melted cheese on the bottom, it is topped with your choice of vegetables and meats.

What I Ordered

Breakfast Special – $115pesos ~ $5.80USD

Coffee, Juice, Fruit Plate, Breakfast Entrée of your Choosing

The Las Campanas breakfast special is a must-order. It is cheap and delicious. I ordered the Yucatan sausage and egg scramble for my entrée and an omelet. Both dishes were delicious but the egg scramble with the flavorful and spicy longaniza sausage was amazing! Both dishes come with a side of black beans, fresh slaw, warm tortillas, and a trio of salsas.

Las Campanas Margarita – $55pesos ~ $2.75USD

Las Campanas serves one kind of margarita and that is a large stiff frozen margarita. I did not miss my usual margarita on the rocks. The frozen margarita is refreshing and offers the perfect amount of sweetness. This was the best margarita I ordered throughout my Mexico travels.

Sangria – $45pesos ~ $2.25USD

An amazing sangria, a great price for a large gorgeous drink. The Las Campanas sangria is not overly sweet and has just the right amount of tang. It is served in a large glass with two separated colors, mix it up and watch the colors come together creating a warm orange color.

Las Campanas Chicken Panchos – $65pesos ~ $2.25USD

Panchos Traditional is an authentic Yucatan dish, similar to a tostada but a bit different. They take two corn tortillas and stuff them with refried black beans then fry them, then add the meat and additional toppings. These are absolutely scrumptious. The shredded chicken is a great choice for a your meat topping to light up the dish. The pickled onions on top add a sharp tang and bright pink color. These are a must try dish when visiting the Yucatan Peninsula!
