About the Company

Two best friends were tired of going to the store to buy 10+ ingredients for just one baked good. They decided enough is enough and set out to make baking easy and convenient. Nanaimo Bars

Inspired by BaKIT Box founder, Shelly Gupta’s home country of Canada, Nanaimo Bars are everything sweet, indulgent, and rich. These chocolate bars are unlike any recipe you see online. BaKIT Box’s recipe includes many high-quality ingredients like premium semi-sweet chocolate, walnuts, and unsweetened coconut.

The Baking Process

These Nanaimo Bars are a no-bake sweet treat fit for the holidays. BaKIT Box rates this recipe as an intermediate recipe and I agree! Their recipe breaks each step down making it easy to follow. The recipe includes helpful hints like, “use a hand mixer for the second layer”. My KitchenAid hand mixer saved me tons of time and effort to get the perfect creamy vanilla layer whipped up.

Taste

I absolutely love chocolate and these indulgent Canadian chocolate bars surely fulfilled my craving. The top two layers are soft and everything rich, while the bottom layer adds texture and balances out the sweetness. Chopped walnuts and unsweetened coconut add great nuttiness to the cocoa flavor. Unfortunately, the bottom layer for me turned out very crumbly, but they are still sinfully delicious!
