Canggu is home to some of the best restaurants in Bali. Each restaurant offers their own unique flare with some of the cutest décor and genuine service. While this is a large expat town there still remains the touches of local rice fields, Balinese food, warungs, and street vendors. This one of a kind place has developed into one of my favorite cities with unique restaurants, active beaches, and fun nightlife. 1. Healthy Restaurants in Canggu – Low Cal
Canggu offers a ton of healthy restaurants, it can be a bit overwhelming when searching for your a healthy lunch spot. Low Cal offers an extensive menu, full salad bar, and low calorie cocktails that are a must try. They include the macros for any dish on their menu, which is helpful for those who track. Their indoor outdoor setting is perfect for people watching and enjoying the bustle of Canggu.
2. Best Night Life in Canggu – Fat Mermaid
Fat Mermaid is a trendy one of a kind restaurant with some of the best nightlife. Their nightly events keep you coming back for another evening out to meet new people and enjoy live entertainment. The menu is very affordable with a variety of dishes. I also love coming here for brunch and to do some work during the day.
3. Best Vietnamese Restaurant in Canggu – Hoi An Vietnamese
The best Vietnamese food I have ever tried is my third restaurant on my list of top 10 Restaurants in Canggu. Hoi An Vietnamese is a family owned restaurant with an amazing story. Their first location did so well that they have expanded to various locations throughout Indonesia. This outdoor restaurant overlooks the Balinese rice fields making this another great spot for a date night in Bali. You really can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. I loved how the menu engaged us with stories on each dish and how to eat it properly.
4. Best Cafes in Canggu – Barboa Bali
Have the best brunch of your life at Barboa Bali. Take a trip to the west side of town and stop at this adorable café. Their food is to die for, with velvety hollandaise sauce, fluffy pancakes, and rich hot coffee. The service is amazing and they even bring you a delicious chocolate cookie with any coffee. It was so good, I asked if I could buy them to take home but sadly that did not sale them.
5. Best Dessert in Canggu – Milk and Honey Donuts
By far the best dessert in Canggu are the donuts from Milk and Honey. This may be a bit out of town but it is totally worth it. They are also on Grab App for delivery for a small delivery fee. These were a guilty pleasures! We would order a box of these delivered to our door and devour them. The churros are the perfect crispy friend the fluffiest donuts I have ever laid eyes on.

6. Best Beach Side Restaurant in Canggu – Warung Middle
After a long day on the beach sometimes you just want to find a casual restaurant to watch the sunset from. Warung Middle lies on Canggu Beach in the middle of the many bars and restaurants. This simple restaurant cooks up some of the best food including pasta, pizza, local dishes, breakfast and more! They really do have it all and each dish is better than the last. We dined here numerous times and had a great experience every time.
7. Best Backyard in Canggu – The Secret Spot
The Secret Spot is hidden gem off a side street from Canggu’s most popular Batu Balong road. Their backyard area is one of the best with cozy bean bags and chairs. Visit The Secret Spot during the day for you café favorites. At night the candles are lit and turns into your backyard Pinterest dreams. Their clever branding brings people to an outdoor movie on Wednesday nights with food and drink specials.
8. Best Cheap Eats Canggu – Warung Local
If you are on a budget then head to the warungs in Bali. Warungs are the local term for a small family owned business, in most cases it is a restaurant dishing up Bali’s most loved local foods. This couldn’t be top 10 Restaurants in Canggu without a warung. Warung Local offers an updated seating area with some of the best local dishes. Order you food at the counter and pay then indulge in your massive plate of goodness! It is best to go around 5:00PM, whatever they make for the day is what they serve all night so the more popular dishes run out fast.

9. Fine Dining in Canggu – Mile End Kitchen
If you are looking for a nice romantic dinner in Canggu then head to Mile-End Kitchen. Located just a block from the beach this small restaurant offers tasty cocktails, amazing appetizers, and satisfying entrees. Their boho chic décor with low lit candles set the mood for an intimate dinner. They also have an amazing breakfast menu!
10. Best Bar in Canggu – Black Sand Brewery
One of my all time favorite memories lies at Black Sand Brewery. This large venue is the perfect place to meet new people and try some local beers. They have nightly specials including BBQ, half priced drinks, and more! During the day this is quite a casual place but once the sunsets over the rice fields the dj start the dance floor.
